The League and Doordash Release 13 New Dual-language Smart Cycling Videos

The League and Doordash Release 13 New Dual-language Smart Cycling Videos

Smart Cycling Tips For Both Bicyclists And Drivers

Today, the League of American Bicyclists, in partnership with Doordash, released a series of new videos that educate both bicyclists and motorists on how to safely and responsibly share the road. The 13 videos, produced in both English and Spanish, will be added to the League’s Smart Cycling safety education library, which covers bike riding basics from the ABC Quick Check to how to avoid common crashes between bicyclists and drivers.

The release not-so-coincidentally coincides with the celebration of National Ride A Bike Day, a national day to celebrate the joys of bike riding declared by the League in coordination with National Bike Month. Whether a regular rider or first-time, the new Smart Cycling videos provide the information needed to confidently ride a bike and information for all motorists to share the road safely with people on bikes.

The League and Doordash announced their partnership last year and quickly devised ways to produce educational resources for bike-based Dashers and Dashers who share the road with cyclists. The new jointly-produced Smart Cycling videos allow Doordash to provide their employees with the information they need to travel safely amongst other road users and allows the League to update its Smart Cycling video catalog with a host of both old and new topics!

Topics Covered:

  • How to perform an ABC Quick Check + tips for ebikes
  • How to avoid common crashes between bicyclists and drivers
  • Speed limits for motorists

“At the League, we believe life is better for everybody when more people can get around by bike and education is a huge component of making bicycling a safe and real option for transportation for more people,” said Bill Nesper, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists. “We’re thrilled to work with DoorDash to make our streets safer and welcoming to people biking by updating and expanding our library of biking and driving education videos.”
