The New York Times reported today on new cycling counts in New York City that estimate the number of daily New York City cyclists at 236,000. As it happens, this comes the same day an advance copy of a new case study on bicycling in New York City landed in my inbox.

Every time I get to teach a class, either school children, novice road cyclists, or future instructors, I remember why I love this job. I get out in the fresh air, I get to meet some great people and I get to ride a bike. It doesn't get much better than that.
