Community Highlights: According to the 2006 parks survey, bicycling consistently ranked as one of the preferred activities among adults and youth. Coeur d’Alene hosts nearly 850,000 acres of open space available to cyclists and 39 percent of arterials have bike lanes or paved shoulders.

Most Significant Recent Accomplishment: A five mile corridor was purchased from the railroad and a 15 foot wide bicycle/pedestrian trail began construction. This is a several million dollar project, which will connect a large part of the city by trail.
