The Presidio of San Francisco, CA | Bronze Level

Engineering: The Presidio recently constructed the second phase of the Presidio Promenade multi-use trail. Presidio Promenade will run from the Lombard Gate on the east side of the park to the Golden Gate Bridge when completed. They are currently reviewing the 90% CD set for Phase 3 that will extend the project to the Golden Gate Bridge and should go into construction in late spring.

Evaluation: The Presidio of San Francisco has an 8 percent mode share, and besides residents, it is a cycling destination for much of San Francisco and tourists. The Presidio-approved plan is providing the framework for improvements that are actively being implemented. The national park has received millions of dollars for improvements including philanthropic donations, local air quality improvement funds, and federal transportation appropriations.
