Community Highlights: Chandler is a rapidly growing community and takes many opportunities to offer bike education and encouragement to its citizens. The city emphasizes the benefits to one's health, the environment, and recreation from bicycling. Chandler has numerous year round opportunities to use a bicycle for both leisure and as a commuting mode.
Chandler has constructed the Paseo Trail that provides 6.5 miles of enjoyable bike riding for fun or commuting to the brand new Tumbleweed Recreation Center or to the Park & Ride that provides people the option to lock their bikes in secure bike lockers which were recently installed or put their bike on the bus to bring to work. The BMX, Freestyle, Grind Park is the first only public facility in the Valley for use by BMX bike riders, and the 3.5 mile Western Canal Shared Use Path will offer Chandler citizens more options to enjoy bicycling and provide more connections within the city.
Additionally, the departments of Recreation, Police and Fire provide a wide variety of bicycle education programs for citizens of all ages on topics such as bicycle safety, sharing the road, health and wellness and recreational which help people realize the City of Chandler is a safe and fun place to ride bicycles.
