Breckenridge, CO | Silver Level

Community Highlights: Breckenridge boasts 95 percent of streets with bike lanes with over 100 miles of mountain biking trails - all nestled in a beautiful environment. The community is wonderland for all types of cyclists. In addition to the physical environment, bicycling education is offered in every school and classes are available for adults as well.

Most Significant Recent Accomplishment: Nightmare on Baldy is a single track trail recently realigned and constructed by the city of Breckenridge. The existing user-created fall line route was replaced with a flowing, sustainable single track approximately 1.4 miles long. The town also contributed to the construction of an important paved pathway known as the Swan Mountain Recpath. Although this paved pathway is outside of town jurisdiction, Breckenridge contributed to its
construction due to its significance in completing a county-wide pathway system.
