Applications must be submitted through our on-line process to be eligible for award consideration. Click here for a pdf version of the application (for reference only). We will be launching an updated application on March 1st.

To be included in the next review cycle and possibly join those communities earning the award, submit the Bicycle Friendly Community application by February 17, 2012. There are two application deadlines per year, one in February and one in July.

Applicants can submit additional information such as maps, policy documents or photos to bfa@bikeleague.org.

The League’s Bicycle Friendly Community staff is available to provide assistance throughout the application process and will continue to work with awardees to implement bicycle friendly programs and practices. Communities that do not yet meet the standards for a Bicycle Friendly Community award may also receive assistance in order to encourage improvements and earn program designation.
