Bicycle Friendly University Program

The Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a more bicycle-friendly campus for students, staff and visitors. The BFU program provides the roadmap and technical assistance to create great campuses for cycling.

Current BFUs

The League has named 58 Bicycle Friendly Universities throughout 30 states. Explore this interactive map to see current BFUs by state and to find out what these institutions are doing to promote cycling.

Upcoming Application Deadline

To be included in the next review cycle and possibly join those institutions earning the award, submit the Bicycle Friendly University application by July 24, 2013.

Local Reviewer Sign Up

Each application to the Bicycle Friendly America program is reviewed by a panel of national bicycle experts and several local reviewers are consulted to share their on the ground perspective of the applicant.
