University Highlights: Chatham University is committed to reducing its net carbon footprint to zero and made a comprehensive bicycle program an integral part of achieving this goal. Additionally, Chatham has a strong employee wellness program which promotes cycling as a means to improve health and wellness.  While Chatham is making the Bicycle Commuter Tax Credit available to full-time faculty and staff, is steadily improving bike facilities, and is supporting bicycle advocacy at Chatham and in the broader Pittsburgh region.

Most Compelling Recent Bike Related Accomplishment:
Chatham recently established Chatham Bike Works, a teaching bicycle shop, to provide the Chatham community with the skills and materials to become active bicycle riders and full participants in sustainable life choices. In addition to the facility itself, Chatham has stocked the shop with tools, cleaners and lubricants, and also has a student work-study position to staff the shop ten hours per week.

Most Compelling Fact: Chatham was previously awarded a Bicycle Friendly Business designation for their efforts in promoting cycling among faculty and staff.
