Business Highlights: Bicycles are a priority for employees at Wheel House; this enthusiasm naturally spread to customers and community members.  Wheel House’s presence in the community is widespread: they setup and run a bike valet for a bike-to-work day festival in town. They are working on the plans for the 2010 Bike Month Celebration that is aptly named, Cycle MAYnia.   Along with helping on the event format and grant application process, they are planning on holding a bike swap meet, a mutant bike display day, and a bike in movie night. They also offer free and secure bike valet for Santa Barbara’s Saturday morning farmer's markets. Along with small bicycle maintenance classes, they are signed up to sponsor Cycling 123 Classes through the National Bicycle Dealers Association.  The whole office uses bicycles as their primary means of transportation.  The business is located one block away from the main street of Santa Barbara’s dedicated bike path. They offer the staff a wholesale employee discount on full bikes and parts. They have a shop fleet to run errands, including a single speed and cargo bike for carrying supplies and a 7 person conference bike for employee meetings and fun times.  These efforts help encourage safe riding on a range of levels and purposes.
