Business Highlights: The US Environmental Protection Agency promotes bicycling for their employees, the larger community and on a national level, aligning with the agency’s mission.  EPA administers programs for cleaner environments safer for cyclists and issues grants to bicycle groups.   The staff is invested in this work and regularly volunteers with local bicycling organizations. Employees are encouraged to bike to work, with access to bike lockers, a shower facility and a bike repair station.  Offices are well located along a bike path and adjacent to bike lane streets.  EPA staff lead bike to work day rides to teach new riders routes and run an employee bike club.  The agency intranet and listservs disperse information regarding bike routes, equipment and safe riding.  With 800 EPA jerseys sold, the agency is creating a strong connection with the cycling community.
