Business Highlights: The Sierra Nevada Green Machine program allows employees to sign up for 1 of 3 monthly bike pledges. Employees fulfilling their pledges are rewarded with prizes. The business partners with local cycling groups to help promote Bike to Work Week and Day while also sponsores numerous cycling events, teams, and clubs throughout the country. Showers, bike parking, and discounted gym membership are also available to employees that ride.

Most Significant Recent Accomplishment: Sierra Nevada won second place in the 2008 Chico Commuter Challenge Bike to Work Week.

Most Innovative & Effective Recent Achievement: Sierra Nevada houses the only Bar Cycle in the country. It is a 10-person bicycle that is complete with bicycle seats as bar stools and 10 sets of pedals which people pedal to move the bicycle. The Bar Cycle is used at sponsorship events and special occasions (see above photo).
