Through partnerships with bicycle manufacturers, the BikeTown program has delivered more than 3,000 bikes to residents of 19 states who won essay contests asking why they deserved a free bike. We provide them with the tools to get started and then inspire them to become lifelong cyclists. Bicycling Magazine's BikeTown Africa Traveled to Tanzania on World AIDS Day 2009 to Deliver Bikes. In addition, BikeTown Africa has donated more than 2,000 bikes to healthcare workers in seven countries.
