Business Highlights: Penn Cycle has been promoting the cycling lifestyle for families in the Twin Cities area for over 50 years. They encourage employees to bike by offering a commuter tax benefit and supplying offices with showers, a repair station and maintenance supplies. Each store location has an employee designated as a bicycle mentor. Employees are welcome to use their entire rental fleet of 125 bikes when they are available, including demo mountain bikes to borrow for races and events. The store is geared specially towards people first getting interested in cycling. They provide a special promotion with deals on bikes purchased during Bike Month in May. They provided free bike safety checks for customers and host weekly Thursday night mountain bike races and bi-weekly safe riding and maintenance classes. Penn Cycle has done a lot to reach out to the Twin Cities bicycling community. They have provided thousands of donated hours every year to offer ride support for most of the large events in Minnesota including the Twin cities Ironman and MS Rides. They sponsor over 100 events at local businesses to talk about cycling and do free bike safety checks.
