Business Highlights: Pearl Izumi promotes bicycling to its employees through discounted bikes, organized rides, cash incentives and access to lockers, showers, and maintenance tools. There are a number of rides throughout the year that leave from the office, including a regular lunch ride and an occasional "no drop" ride. Pearl Izumi has a program where they support participating employees with at least three organized cycling events and a free custom bicycle kit. The Pearl Izumi office is ideally located for bicycle commuters, with various surrounding bike lanes and little traffic. They are also less than 1 mile from a number of multiuse trails that give access from Boulder. Pearl also organizes a Commuter Challenge during Bike Month, with prizes and a breakfast. The company participates in the National Bike Summit and regularly attends the Bicycle Leadership Conference. Their “Green Team” reviews existing incentives/services and recommends additional bicycle programming to make the office more sustainable.

Most Compelling Bike Related Accomplishment: Pearl Izumi purchased 50 new cruiser bikes, many of which were then sold to the staff at cost. They saved 10 of the bikes to build a company fleet that are often used by employees to run errands, get lunch and go to meetings.
