Business Highlights: Northwestern Mutual – the “World’s Most Admired” life insurance company according to FORTUNE magazine – provides services to its employees that make bicycle commuting a wonderful option, including showers and lockers, secure bicycle parking and dry cleaning/laundry services with laundered clothes delivered directly to the employee workstation.  Stationary bikes are available to employees at the Health Center, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The company also provides generous ride entrance fee subsidies for approximately 20 different area rides and financial assistance with lodging accommodations for approved rides outside of the immediate metropolitan vicinity.  In addition, the company encourages employees to make use of generous discounts offered through a corporate sponsorship with a major bicycle equipment vendor in the area.

The company’s Franklin Campus is in a suburban area, within two miles of the Oak Leaf Bike Trail, a major bike artery in Milwaukee County with 100 miles of paved trails.
