Business Highlights: Garver is dedicated to improving bike infrastructure and works with the city of North Little Rock and advocacy groups like Safe Routes to School to help make this happen.  They hosted a Bicycle Friendly Community workshop to help the city improve their infrastructure and education.  Garver annually participates in their community bike-to-work day rally and in 2010 won the commuter challenge with 25 riders from their office. The office generously provides helmets for those who don't have their own and are updated on upcoming rides and bicycle related activities through the company blog, emails and office wide notices. They have scheduled rides each week geared towards new riders to show them local bike routes. Garver has locker rooms with showers, and a bike storage room for those who have registered with Garver's health and fitness program. The bike storage room includes a bike stand and a complete set of bike tools for employees to maintain their bikes. A Garver jersey is granted to any employee who meets fund raising goals for charity rides. They also offer cash incentives for exercise, which has enabled them to hold their insurance costs down. Bike rides increase interaction between upper management and other staff through organized office rides.
