Fueled by this philosophy, Eppstein Uhen has done a lot to promote cycling and public awareness. They also have a company bike at each office location to encourage employees to bike to meetings during the work day. The office offers employees secure covered parking, organized rides, locker room facilities and maintenance supplies. The firm does a lot regarding biking in the community, and is well known around Milwaukee for their focus on bicycles. They work with local bike shops to provide safe riding instructions and maintenance tips in preparation for their annual charity ride. They have done promotions and sponsorships for the bicycle federation of Wisconsin and organized Bike to Work events with the Mayor of Milwaukee. Most Compelling Bike Related Accomplishment: Eppstein Uhen has hosted a charity bike ride since 2005 called Beyond Design Tour. The ride attracts 300 riders annually and has raised more than $125,000 for charities such as Movin’ Minds, Milwaukee’s Safe and Sound program and Backpack Buddies. Many people have started biking because of this event and the training rides that precede it. They have invested thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours annually on this business networking charity ride. |
