Business Highlights: Carlson Hotels supports a Green and Healthy living motto and has invested in the facilities and education to foster this goal.  Carlson has an Exercise Tracker program, which allows employees to earn points bicycling. The points can then be used for reduced/free hotel stays.  The hotel has a Green and Healthy Living committee which publishes a monthly newsletter. The May issue of the newsletter has a bicycle theme, with articles on Bike to Work Month, the local Commuter Bike Challenge and bike safety.  The employee bike club, Carlson Commuter, helps with safe route selection, tips on gears for the surrounding hills and hosts monthly rides on the nearby trail.  The intranet provides info on safe cycling, calendar of bicycle events and route finding.  Carlson also works with local groups, such as Activate Omaha, to increase awareness of bicyclists and bike safety.

Most Compelling Bike Related Accomplishment: Carlson hotels competed this year in the bicycle Commuter challenge during bike to work month.  They were voted the best new team in the Bike Omaha Commuter Challenge and also took second place in their division in the Challenge.
