Business Highlights: The Caine Halter Family YMCA of Greenville, SC is located directly on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.  In fact, the organization collaborated with the city-wide effort in developing the trail and approved the variance to extend the trail from the back portion of the YMCA property and even created a trailhead for direct access. The business also regularly works with the Cityof Greenville to support “Bikeville,” the local bike iniatives.  They have established a free bicycle rental program for all due-paying members of the YMCA, giving people that commute into town access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail without the inconvenience of carting their bicycle. Additionally, it gives members an alternative to exercising indoors.   The YMCA  celebrates Bike to Work Day with prizes, a commuter breakfast, and a  CEO Led ride. They coordinate a bicycle rodeo each November and host several classes and events throughout the month of May for National Bike Month.  The YMCA regularly receives very positive feedback from members, community cycling groups, and families about the convenience and security of being able park at the Y, go for a ride, and then get cleaned up before going home.
