Business Highlights: Bike Masters works to expand bicycling beyond simply a sport, but also a means of recreation, transportation and creating camaraderie.   The shop advocates for improved transportation infrastructure, in one way by encouraging staff and customers to use streets to get places on their bikes.  Bike Masters participates in the commuter challenge and also sponsors an employee bike club and organizes rides.  More experienced employees help customers and new riders find routes throughout Omaha.  They are also invited to participate in Bike Master’s maintenance safety classes.  Bike Masters employees have participated in a wide range of advocacy including the mayor's Advisory Committee for Bicycle and Pedestrian Issues, The New downtown Master Plan process, Bikeable Communities!, Bike Omaha, Trails Have Our Respect and Corporate Commuting Challenge.  Bike Masters is also working to build a social network of cyclists from all walks of life who can work in the community to promote more bike friendly attitudes and advocate for infrastructure improvements.
