Business Highlights: For Bike To Work Day, Bicycle Technologies International has a booth at the Santa Fe Celebration and leads rides to the event. They offer free bike maintenance by professionals and distribute information on local bike shops. They donate $1000 in bike gear for Bike To Work Day giveaways. BTI hosted a BTWD parade and after-party, encouraging employees to get on a bike and ride! Bikes and helmets were coordinated for employees who needed them to safely join in the fun. The event is topped off by a CEO led ride and commuter challenge. BTI hosts a free Traffic Skills & Basic Maintenance course with rear light give aways to the public during Bike to Work Week. BTI participates in other local bike events, such as annually hosting the 25 mile stop for the Santa Fe Century. BTI helps employees bike by offering complete bikes and frames to purchase at wholesale cost and providing the Commuter Tax Benefits. They have a revolving 20+ demo fleet of the latest high-end road and full suspension mountain bikes for employees to use for rides and races. BTI staff jerseys were also made available to staff at a discount. BTI sponsors and supports races, rides and events throughout the country, state and region. They also demo bikes, donate prizes, offer race support, maintenance and help staff events. 

Most Compelling Bike Related Statistic: The “Green Machine Program” offers a bicycle commuter benefit, ranging from $1.50 to $2.50 a day, depending on an employee's length of commute. BTI also offers every employee up to $100 reimbursement towards race/ride entry fees, annually. The race/ride sponsorship was recently extended towards admission to the LAB Traffic Skills 101 course.

Most Compelling Bike Related Accomplishment: BTI supports bicycle advocacy from the grassroots up to the corporate level. With a full-time coordinator of BTI’s advocacy efforts, the organization is actively involved in advocacy organizations, both locally and worldwide, and supports them with corporate donations and memberships. The team also supports advocacy from within the company in the form of volunteers for different events and outreach.
