Bicycle Friendly Business360 Architecture| Silver Level
Business Highlights: Through the infrastructure, lunch time riding, flexible work hours and monthly rides, staff feel empowered to make bicycle commuting and exercise a part of their life at 360 Architecture. For Bike to Work Day, the firm organizes a commuter challenge and prizes. They promote the challenge by placing a wall map of Kansas City for employees to mark where they live to find coworkers to ride together with to work. They also organize a monthly group bike ride over lunch, with a different route each time. The firm offers a company fleet of bikes for employees to use during work hours. They also provide a locker room, shower and a dedicated room for fitness, with the main component of the room set up for bike related exercise, including 2 spin bikes and 4 stationary trainers for staff to bring in their bikes and train/ride. They have teamed up with the community to provide bike education classes. They are a major sponsor for the Win for KC Woman's Triathlon (with over 800 participants each year) through financial as well as logistical/planning support. This event includes classes for first time participants/riders as well as bike specific riding classes teaching concepts such as safety, drafting, right of way. They also have played a major planning role in the Tour of Missouri for the past 3 years. Most Compelling Bicycle Related Accomplishment:
360 participates in the “Green Commute” challenge; they track how many employees are involved and aim to raise the participation by 10% each year. |
