Genesis Bicycles Leads Nation in Certified Ride Leaders

Easton, Pa., has set a new standard for full service bike shop(4.28.06)

Genesis Bicycles, in Easton, Pa., has set a new standard for full service bike shops by certifying all Ride Leaders as League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructors (LCIs). Genesis paid all the fees to the League and CAT to hold an LCI Seminar in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania during April, to certify its six ride leaders.

“This is the best we can do to assure our customers are safe, effective vehicular cyclists,” said Genesis Assistant Manager Mary Merritt, the speaker at the luncheon. “If our customers keep coming to our rides, they will learn how to ride confidently in almost any traffic situation, how to prevent & fix most simple bike related problems, and how to maximize their enjoyment while riding a bicycle.” We know this is the best way to keep our customers riding their bikes and coming back to Genesis.

Genesis Bicycles owner Tomias Hinchcliff has been dedicated to bicycle education for many years. His shop sponsors the local Park Tool School Mechanic Classes, gives away the Pennsylvania State Bicycle Manual with every new bike, and recently held a CAT Day at Genesis donating 10% of all sales, more than $900, to local bicycle education efforts.
