Strong leaders are essential in building a Bicycle Friendly America℠. Communities, states, businesses and universities are transformed by their decision making and dedication for improvement.

The League recognizes these important people, from mayors and CEOs to governors and university presidents, with an annual Bicycle Friendly America Leadership Award.

Winners are chosen by the League's Bicycle Friendly America team in consultation with local bicyclists and stakeholders. Each winner is presented with an original print by Taliah Lempert.
