2006 Bike Summit: Presentations
March 1-3, 2006
Washington, DC
The sixth annual National Bike Summit was a resounding success! 375 people representing 44 states came to Washington, D.C. for the Bike Summit. Summit participants met with 294 Representatives and 75 Senators, dropping off legislative issue packets at dozens more. More than 30 people participated in the Safe Routes to Schools State Coordinators Orientation.

At the 2006 National Bike Summit, participants spoke to their Members of Congress about critical legislative issues concerning bicyclists across the nation, including the High Priority Projects Program, the Bicycle Commuter Act, funding the Conserve by Bicycling Program, and the Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program, as well as a variety of local issues in their districts.
