Bicycle Rodeo Grades 3 and Up

Description: Celebrate 2010 Bike to School and Work Week with the Town of Los Gatos! Join us at our first annual Bike “Road-eo” on Saturday, May 15th from 10am-1pm. Marc Jensen, a League of American Bicyclists instructor, will guide children and their parents through an interactive program. During this program, children in third grade and above, along with their parents, will learn the rules of the road in a fun and engaging way. The “road-eo” will be composed of several stations—each station allowing children to master a skill before moving along to the next technique. These stations will be run with the help of the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department, the Los Gatos Library, Community Services and local volunteers. Partnering with our local elementary and middle schools, we will get the word out to parents and students – encouraging them not only to get on their bicycles and ride to school, but to ride in a safe and courteous manner.
