Cycling Merit BadgeDate: Saturday, May 8, 2010 Description: This is a one-day course covering the essential knowledge, bike handling, and traffic skills to enable students to earn the Boy Scouts of America's Cycling Merit Badge. It is held as a component of the Quapaw Area Council's annual Merit Badge University. This will be a tailored course of instruction and practical exercises using the basic Safe Routes to School/Kids II curriculum. A coordination meeting will be held at the close of the class to assist Scouts in planning and completion of the required distance rides to complete the requirements for the merit badge.
