Tempe TS101 Express

Date: Saturday, February 20th, 10am - 3pm
Instructor: Thomas Tomczyk
Location: 200 E 5th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281
Fee: $10 *free if you cannot afford

Description: This course will cover the Road 1 / Traffic Skills 101 curriculum. However, we will NOT cover the following information:
"The Bicycle - Nomenclature/Selection/Fit"
"Bicycle Maintenance"
"Bicycle Clothing"
The course is expected to last no more than 5 hours.

Where: The Bicycle Cellar @ Tempe Transportation Center
Directions: If arriving via light rail: Get off at the Veteran's Way / College Avenue stop.

Wheeled vehicles: From Mill & University, proceed north on Mill to 5th Street. Turn right (east) onto 5th Street. The Transportation Center is at the intersection of 5th and Forest. Bicycles may proceed north on the sidewalk to the doors directly behind the METRO fare ticket counter. Those arriving via car should park in the garage that is on the SW corner of 5th and Forest, walk briefly east out of the parking garage and then take the crosswalk.

The $10 fee covers printing costs for the student manual and use of The Bicycle Cellar. *I understand that the economy is in flux, so if you legitimately cannot afford $10, please let me know and I can waive the fee. For those who do not own a helmet, I will have some helmets available for free if you lack the money to purchase one. You will be required to wear a helmet for the parking lot drills & road test.
