Traffic Skills 101ADate: First Part of two day class, Saturday, January 23, 2010, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Description: Part of owning a good bicycle is. . . .knowing how to use it! Drive your bike like a vehicle. . .communicate with traffic! Be assertive. . . . own your part of the road! Be confident, relaxed. . . have FUN on your bike! Become a safer and more confident bicyclist by learning how to drive your bike correctly. This classroom session covers traffic law, bike equipment and other gear, injury prevention, hydration & nutrition and crash avoidance. Student manual included! Recommended for adults and children over 14 years. League Cycling Instructor: Dave VanDerZee (#2384). This class is a prerequisite for TS 101B, which is mostly on-bike safety drills and a supervised ride through Jacksonville streets.
