Traffic Skills 101B

Date: Second part of two day class, Saturday, January 30, 2010, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Fee: Included in TS 101A tuition

Description: Part of owning a good bicycle is. . . .knowing how to use it! Drive your bike like a vehicle. . .communicate with traffic! Be assertive. . . own your part of the road! Be confident, relaxed. . . have FUN on your bike! This course puts the fun back into cycling. Participants must have completed TS 101A which included the tuition for this class. This is the fun part, on-bike! Parking lot drills include basics like scanning and signaling; and hazard avoidance maneuvers including the avoidance weave, rock dodge, quick stop and instant turn. The supervised ride is over a variety of road conditions from country roads to busy urban streets that will allow students to become safer and more confident bicyclists by learning how to drive their bike correctly.
