Middle School Bike Skills (Kids II)

Description: This class teaches youth how to be responsible, safe and legal bicyclists on neighborhood streets. Classroom presentation covers the principals of traffic law, lane positioning and intersections. Students learn how to avoid the 5 major causes or car-bike crashes. Bicycle and helmet fitting are followed by skills practice and a 4 mile neighborhood ride with immediate feedback on technique. One parent must register and attend per family. Everyone must bring a bike and a helmet. The minimum age is 10 years. The class is 3.5 hrs in duration.
