Road 1 for Women

Date: DEcember 1 & 5, two sessions

Description: This course teaches the same skills ar a regular Road 1 class, but in a supportive all-women atmosphere. In addition to the regular topics, this class will delve into the history of the women and the bicycle, cover women specific topics regarding bike fit, clothing options, and personal safety issues while riding alone. Recommended for adults and youth 16 and above. Younger female students OK with instructor approval-call to ask. Students must have a bike in good ridable condition with at least one functioning hand brake or coaster brake. Fixed gear bikes must have at least one functioning hand brake. Helmets required. Helmets will be provided for those who do not have one.
