Sharing the Road

Date: From July through December 2009
Instructor: Barry Zalph
Location: Louisville, KY
Fee: free

Description: A free 45-minute program, available at your worksite in Louisville/Jefferson County, can help your employees drive and ride bicycles more safely on the region's streets. Bicycling for Louisville, under contract with Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, will offer its "Sharing the Road" presentation at no cost through December 2009. The interactive presentation, presented by nationally certified bicycle safety instructors, includes video clips and question-and-answer. It covers how the traffic laws apply to bicyclists and motorists; where bicyclists should ride; common crash-causing mistakes made by motorists and bicyclists; and how road users can make travel safer and easier with courtesy and mutual respect. The program is ideal for audiences of 10 - 40 people in any venue with a computer projector and projection screen. "Sharing the Road" has received good reviews from audiences at University of Louisville, Humana, and US Army Corps of Engineers - let us add your company to this list!
