Smart Cycling- In Conjunction with the Nevada Bike/Ped ConferenceDate: Thursday, May 21, 2009, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, May 22, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Description: Traffic Skills 101 is the foundation. It provides instruction and guidance in the basic principles of vehicular bicycling. Bicyclists have more fun, and are safer, when they ride with skill and confidence. The course combines classroom discussion and parking lot activities with on-road practice of the princples of vehicular bicycling. The on-road experiences include quiet residential streets, minor arterials, multi-lane low- and moderate-speed arterials. If you are coming to the Nevada Bike/Ped conference from out of the area, and can’t bring your bike, we may be able to help you arrange to rent or borrow a bike locally.
