Youth Urban Cycling

Date: Monday/Wednesday April 6 & 8, 4pm-6pm
Instructor: Kerry Tarullo
Location: Madison Elementary, 1225 Legion Way SE, Olympia, WA 98501
Fee: $5

Description: Whether your teens want to save the planet, get fit, save some cash, or get places independently, this Urban Cycling class will keep them safe while they have fun. The first part of each class is for discussion about road rules, safety and practice in emergency maneuvering. During the second part of class, we will practice navigating intersections, roadways and changing lanes. We will also work on practical skills like quick stops, instant turns and rock dodges. Helmet and bike in good working order are required. Class is based on the League of American Bicyclists curriculum and includes classroom and on-bike instruction.
