Urban Cycling I

Date: Saturday March 21, 2009, 10am-2pm

Location: Madison Elementary, 1225 Legion Way SE, Olympia, WA 98501
Fee: $5

Description: This class is great for beginner and more experienced riders, both recreational riders and commuters. Learn to interact positively and confidently with traffic, how to ride through intersections and negotiate with cars. Workshop covers bicycle traffic laws, lane positioning, riding strategies, basic equipment and maintenance and emergency maneuvers. Session includes discussions and on-bike practice of maneuvers. Take Urban Cycling I for classroom session/discussion and some on bike training then take Urban Cycling II for a more intensive on bike lesson with parking lot drills and group road ride. Helmet and bike required. Class is based on League of American Bicyclist’s curriculum. Classroom and on-bike instruction.
