Middle School Bike Skills

Fee: $27 per person Palo Alto residents, $31 per person non-residents

Description: Instructors teach youth how to be responsible, safe and legal bicyclists on neighborhood streets. Classroom presentation covers the principles of traffic law, lane positioning and intersections. Students learn how to avoid the 5 major causes of car-bike crashes. Bicycle inspection and helmet fitting are followed by skills practice and a 4-mile neighborhood ride with immediate feedback on technique. One parent must register and attend per family.
