Club Ride DetailTour de WyomingDate(s): 366 miles across Wyoming and a bit of Colorado Description: The Tour de Wyoming 2009 can be called the Mountain Mojo Tour or the Quadruple Bypass Tour or, maybe the WyColo Tour. Whatever you call it, there's plenty of stunning scenery as we go back and forth between Wyoming and Colorado. In the process we take on four mountain passes, climbing over 25,000 feet over six days, and covering 366 miles. We climb through the southern Medicine Bow Mountains on Day 1, go up and over Colorado's Rabbit Ear's Pass on Day 2, take on Bridger Pass in Wyoming's Sierra Madre Mountains on Day 4, and pass below Medicine Bow Peak in Wyoming's Snowy Range on Day 5. We pedal the basins in between the mountain passes. Our final day is a rustic overnight gathering at the University of Wyoming Recreation Camp, a mile shy of the small community of Centennial, Wyoming. Next morning we pedal the final 32 miles to return to our starting point in Laramie. Mileage: 366 miles If you are a part of a club or group, you can log in and add your ride here. |
