Executive Compensation

The League’s executive committee sets the president’s salary based on comparability data from the American Society of Association Executives, with particular focus on executives of similar sized organizations based in Washington, D.C. The salary is also based on evaluation of the president’s performance over the prior 12 months. In 2011, the executive committee started documenting the meetings at which the review takes place. A schedule for the 2013 compensation review will be scheduled at the March 2013 board meeting. The president’s compensation includes salary and benefits, bonuses, and cell phone.
