Executive Compensation

The League’s executive committee sets the president’s salary based on comparability data from the American Society of Association Executives, with particular focus on executives of similar sized organizations based in Washington, D.C. The salary is also based on evaluation of the president’s performance over the prior 12 months. In 2011, the executive committee will start documenting the meetings at which the review takes place. The next review will take place over the phone, between the executive committee and Andy Clarke, League President, on Dec. 16, 2011. The president’s compensation includes salary and benefits, bonuses, and cell phone.
