Airport & Transit to Hotels

Mineta San José International Airport

Ground Transportation: The Airport offers several modes of transport; including buses, shuttles, taxis and limousines.

• Train: Caltrain runs express and partial-express trains during peak hours, which get you along the Calif. peninsula. There is substantial on-board bike capacity, which Caltrain is about to increase further, and if you're staying on the Peninsula (between San Francisco and San Jose) it's quite a bike experience to use the bike cars. To get to the Holiday Inn, get off at the downtown San Jose (Diridon) station and either ride from there or hopping on Light Rail.

Light Rail trains accommodate 6 bikes per car (4 vertically on hooks, 2 hand-held in front of seated cyclists); trains are 2-car. Light Rail is a separate ticket from Caltrain; there are no free transfers.

• Taxi: San Jose has many taxi cab services to choose from. The standard fare from the airport to downtown runs about $18 one way.

• Bus: Take VTA's free Line 10 Airport Flyer bus through the airport to its endpoint stop on First Street. The Holiday Inn is directly across the street from Line 10's easternmost stop. All VTA buses have 2-bike front racks, and the Line 10 Flyer has an large inside luggage rack for suitcases and duffels.

Traveling by car

If you are driving to San Jose and want to keep your car close, most of the hotels have ground level or garage parking. All of the events will take place at or near the Holiday Inn so you will be able to park your car and walk or ride most everywhere.

Bike Storage

The Holiday Inn has an outdoor locked chainlink enclosure and bicycles can be taken into the rooms.
